Message sent time zone

I am trying to retrieve from IMAP inbox messages date and time (Date and time message was sent by sender or received by IAMP incoming SMTP server, If possible with timezone)

For whatever reason whenver I retrieve timezone using message.timzone  it is always GMT-7 instead of  GMT-8.

Am I missing  something?

OK I am now confused what's difference between message.sent vs message.received?

This is based on the server you are getting the message from I would assume its timezone is GMT-7 the library just parses what the server tells it.

As far as message.sent vs. message.receive its a little shakey Received is "INTERNALDATE" which corresponds to the date the email was received by the destination server (or at least thats what ive been lead to believe.) Sent on the otherhand is written in the message envelope, I believe thats written by the sending server but it could even be written by the sending client.
